PEFC stands for "Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification". It is the world's largest forest certification system which helps buyers identify the best performers by endorsing national and/or regional forest certification standards that meet its rigorous criteria. PEFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that forest products are produced with respect for ecological, social and ethical standards.
